Terms of Service for Voclai

1. Introduction

Welcome to Voclai! By using our application (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Voclai is a language-learning application that allows users to generate and expand dictionaries based on their requests. These Terms govern your use of the App and form a legally binding agreement between you and Voclai, operated by an individual entrepreneur.

2. Eligibility

While we do not strictly enforce age restrictions, parents or guardians are responsible for supervising minors who use our App. Some features may collect personal information, and users under the age of 16 should obtain parental consent before using the App.

3. Free and Premium Services

3.1 Free Version:

  • Users can generate a limited number of dictionaries per day
  • Users have a daily limit on the number of mistakes allowed during learning sessions
  • Lives refresh periodically throughout the day
  • Word balance refreshes after a set period

3.2 Premium Version:

  • No limit on dictionary generation
  • No limit on the number of mistakes allowed during learning sessions
  • Additional features as described within the App
  • Subscription details and pricing are available within the App

3.3 Subscription Management:

  • Premium subscriptions are managed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play)
  • Cancellation and billing are handled according to the respective app store's policies

  • All in-app purchases are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the respective app store platforms

4. User Content

  • Users may add words to their personal dictionary
  • If a word has been previously added by another user, cached definitions and examples may be reused
  • Users do not have access to other users' personal dictionary entries
  • We do not claim ownership of content you create in your personal dictionaries

5. Prohibited Uses

By using the App, you agree not to:

  • Access or use the API outside of the App
  • Reverse engineer, modify, or distribute any part of the App
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes or to transmit harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
  • Use automated means to access or collect data from the App

6. Content Disclaimer

  • Voclai generates dictionary definitions and examples using third-party AI services
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of the generated content
  • You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors or biases
  • Images and audio are generated through third-party services and may vary in quality

7. Data Privacy and Security

  • We collect and process certain personal information necessary to provide the service
  • This includes user account details, learning preferences, and usage statistics
  • We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties
  • Your data is stored securely on our servers
  • We may share data with service providers who help us deliver the App functionality

8. Data Deletion

  • We will process such requests in accordance with applicable laws

9. Intellectual Property

  • The App, including its code, design, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Voclai

  • Third-party content within the App (images, audio, etc.) may be subject to their own terms and conditions

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Voclai is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
  • We are not responsible for any damages arising from the use of the App, including but not limited to incorrect AI-generated content
  • Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law

11. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time
  • Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms
  • For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users

12. Termination

  • We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these Terms
  • Users may terminate their use of the App at any time by uninstalling it

13. Dispute Resolution

  • Before pursuing legal action, users agree to attempt to resolve any disputes informally by contacting us
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue legal remedies

14. Governing Law

  • These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions
  • Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Georgia
